Essential Tools for successfully running QCharts... |
|
Note: I
have no reciprocal agreements with any of these software providers. These links
are not "affiliate" program links of any kind. I get no money if you
all buy any of these programs. I simply use these software tools
and have found them to be very helpful. If you purchased the software in items 1,
2 & 3 you'd spend
about $100 total. These items have the ability for a free trial before you buy,
so you don't have to purchase them right off the bat. 2- TaskInfo. A great tool for looking at what your computer is
running behind the scenes and seeing if your CPU is pegging and causing QCharts to slow down or
stop. It will show you all the processes in operation at a given time on your
computer and
what %CPU utilization is for each one. If you look at it and see QCharts is
utilizing 80% of the CPU (or an abnormally high number) then there is cause for
concern about your workspace. There is also a ton of additional
information about the goings on in your computer. 3- DU Meter. This tool monitors your connection to the internet
and runs in a semi-opaque fashion on your desktop so you can visually see the
level of upload/download traffic to your computer at a given time. Before I launch QCharts, I launch Ping Plotter, MultiPing, TaskInfo, DU Meter. In that order.
