Please also do not overlook the built in help tutorial in your QCharts application itself. To get to it, run and log into QCharts. Then click "Help" and then click "Help for QCharts". An entire tutorial will pop up complete with miniature movie demos and lots of help files. It's a powerful resource for understanding how to maneuver in this application.
