Chart Scrolling - Looking back into history... Method #1 (slow) - select a chart - say a one of the "minutes" charts (as opposed to a daily or weekly chart) - and scroll back. You can use the mouse to drag the chart back, or you can use the left arrow on your keyboard to scroll back. Both will work and both are slow. If you're in March of 2006 and need to get back to March of 2000, and you're on a minutes chart, it's gonna be a while. So....use: Method #2 (fast) - Hold down the "Control" key on your keyboard while you are using the left arrow key on your keyboard. This puts you into "hyperspeed" scroll mode and will get you backwards into the history of a chart quickly. You can even hold the Control key and left mouse arrow down and it'll scroll so fast it'll out run the data - but don't worry - when you let up on the keys, the data will catch up. When you are scrolling back, if the candles disappear, you can press "Enter" and it will bring them up into view at the time that you are scrolled back to. Then, when you are done looking back in history and want to return to the present time, just press the "Home" key to automatically bring the chart back to today's price action. Method #3: If you have a wheel mouse, you can click in the chart that you want to scroll back on and roll the wheel and it will scroll the chart backward. Also note, that when you are backwards into the chart looking at the history, the colorful price and studies indicators on the righthand side of the chart will go to gray - not color. This lets you know that they are looking at historical, not current data. More Scrolling Tips:
