Getting personalized QCharts help from this website
You may ask questions via email to get help with your QCharts issues and problems. Questions (emails) may be sent in at any time, but are generally only responded to after the business day, since I work during the day. I also answer questions on weekends. I am one of Gary's students, just like you - and I do this website because I've had a lot of experience with building/maintaining computers and running QCharts.
Some guidelines for asking questions:
1-
Don't bother asking trading questions,
questions on class material or trading techniques or questions on a position you
have held or are currently holding. They won't be answered.
2- PLEASE specify in your question exactly which version of QCharts you are running. I need all 4 decimals. There's a big difference between telling me you're on 5.1 and 5.1.0.21 - please - I need them all. For example, as I write this, the current version of "QCharts 6.1" is 6.1.0.1719 - I need that level of exactness in your question. This info is in the "Help" menu then "About" selection off of that menu.
3- Please make sure the subject line of your email has the text "I have a question about QCharts". I have almost deleted some emails because they had no text in the subject line. I get well over 100 emails a day from various sources (including spam) and that text in the subject line helps me sort and get to folks' questions.
4- Also, please at least tell me your first name. First and last if you want. But it's helpful to at least know who I'm emailing with.
5- If you're seeing problems with specific ticker symbols, please tell me the symbols. Don't just say "my stock splits are messed up". Tell me which symbols you are seeing that are not right. You don't need to send a list of 200 tickers, but at least give me some specifics, even if it's 10 or 20 symbols. Also give me what timeframes you are seeing the problems on.
6- IF you are running a spam blocker of any kind, please add qqctech@mail.esignal.com to your "whitelist" or "friends" list.
