What does all of that stuff in the v6.x Status Bar mean?

 

1. This is the amount of system memory that QCharts is currently utilizing.

2. This is your symbol limit. It shows how many symbols you have in your workspace right now, and the maximum number of symbols that you are limited to have in your workspace at any given time. This example shows that I have a workspace with 1 symbol presently in it and that the most I can have in this workspace is 500 symbols.

3. This shows that your account is entitled to use QCharts.

4. This indicator displays the status of your connection to the Domestic Tick Servers, which is responsible for handling intraday bar charts and Time & Sales history for U.S. symbols.

5. This indicator displays the status of your connection to the International Tick Servers, which is responsible for handling intraday bar charts and Time & Sales history for symbols outside the U.S.

6. This indicator displays the status of your connection to the History Servers, which is responsible for handling daily bar charts, and charts based on daily data such as weekly and monthly intervals.

7. This indicator displays the status of your connection to the Market Depth Servers, which is responsible for handling NASDAQ Level II data. Please note that it is normal for this connection to be red if you are not subscribed to this data.

8. When this is green, your Username and Password are entered in correctly.

9. This shows that the Data Manager is up and running OK.

10. This displays your local system clock, adjusted to Eastern Time. The eSignal Data Manager will automatically synchronize your PC with the eSignal servers to keep it aligned.
