How do I transfer my workspace into the new version?

Extended Intraday History

If you've never had any version of QCharts 6.x on your computer (all you've ever run is v5.x) - then you need to make sure you have the Extended Intraday History bit set on your account. This will put the 10+ years of historical intraday data that you've used on the v5.x software available to you on the v6.x platform.

Please do this:
1. Within QCharts, click on Help -> Account Maintenance, or visit
https://secure.esignal.com/maintenance.aspx?bhcp=1 using your browser.
2. Login using your QCharts username and password
3. Click on the "Add / Cancel Add-On Services" link
4. Select your product and click Continue
5. Near the bottom of the screen, click on "Add-on Services" and then "Show More Options"
6. Under the Misc. Services section, put a check next to the "Extended Intraday History" option.
7. Click "Complete this Transaction" and follow any remaining on-screen instructions.
8. Wait 10-15 minutes and then restart QCharts 6.2 if you've installed it already.

If you're on MS Vista - please be sure to do this:

Where did my workspaces go? Vista and the Virtual Store....yes....we love Vista (NOT)

In Vista, things operate a little different behind the scenes. When users do the KB article referenced above, they often find that their workspaces are gone (not really - they're just moved).

What happens is Vista puts the .qcw workspaces in the Virtual Store. (article to be continued)
